Spring's coming!!

Welcome to the March Journey Blog Hop!  I'm so happy you're hoppin' along!  If you arrived here from Stamping Journey With Jenny, you're on the right track.  If not, that's ok too!  Just continue the hop and you'll come full circle!  If you need to start from the beginning, the list can be found here at Kerry's Getting Inky blog.

This one is a two-fer. I die cut the flowers for the first card from a scrap piece of Pineapple Smoothie cardstock, but made sure to lay them out on the scrap piece so that they had a little spacing in between them and then used the negative for the second card. I backed the negative of the die cut with a piece of polka dot background paper and then Sweet Berry cardstock. All the background papers are from the Spring Parade paper pack only available until 3/31/16 in the FSJ Spring Mini.

Close ups of the cards to kind of see the shading on the flower and Journey glaze on the dots.

So loved that you used the negative for an additional card. Perfect to do it right after making the first card so the negative doesn't end up in the trash or lost in a scrap pile. LOOVEEE the bright, cheerful colors too! Thanks for playing in the blog hop this month. Kerry #401

Becky, I love these Bright cheery colors and that you used the negative, I really need to do that more often. I was intimidated by the floral print myself so ended up not using it but I love what you did with it.. Now I must go find that 6x6 pad and create more.. thanks for the inspiration.. Heather #225

I love the way you used the patterned papers. And I agree with Kerry about your use of the negative!

Lots of bright cheerful happiness in those 2 cards :D
I'm "stingy" with my card stock and stick the dies so close together sometimes there is barely a sliver the size of a grain of rice left to toss but this is wonderful idea! Thanks for sharing it.
