My Stamp Room and It's CLEAN!

Well....last winter we walled off a room in the basement for me to stamp. I had a corner of the basement but it was soooo dark from the rest of the basement and it was not fun for me to be in there. I had painted the block walls robin egg blue to try to help that out but I needed walls. The new walls I painted a lime green and let me tell you, it is bright and I LOVE it! . It's not done...yet. Eventually I'd like a ceiling and something on the floor and of course I must create some things to put on the walls. Anyway...I only had half of my things put away and haven't gotten around to doing the other half. DH talked me into spending the day down there and getting it clean and I can't believe it, but I did it! I feel so good about having it done. Now to use the room and get some things finished that I have to do for RRA. YIPPEE!

Anniversary card

So it's been a little while since I've done anything. I have two to share with you today. This first one is the anniversary card I'm going to give my hubby. Our 11th anniversary is on Saturday. I got this stinkin' adorable bat a little while back from Eat Cake Graphics. DH thought it was super cute too, so I made him a card with it. I just couldn't wait until Halloween time to use it for the first time. I colored him with my Copics too and used some old Basic Grey paper I've had. Isn't he soo cute!

Here is a card I did for a swap. I did one last month using this color combo, posted here, but it got lost in the mail and I'm finally getting this other one out to her. I didn't want to send one that looks the same just in case it eventually gets to her, so out came the colors. It's orange, green and purple and I don't think it scanned well. Have to try the camera next time.

Graduation Time

This is a graduation card I made this weekend. I don't do a lot of masking and I rarely combine stamps from different companies, but I did it this time. I thought my owl would make a darling graduation card and then remembered that I had an old graduation set from TAC that might fit his head. I thought it might be a little different if he was standing/sitting on a rolled up diploma too, so that's what he's doing. I colored with Prismacolor Pencils and blended them with odorless mineral spirits and a blending stump. Thanks for looking.

Camping Season

This is one of the cards I did for the ladies in my hostess club this month. I used one of TAC's Limited Edition stamp sets (ending May 16th) and TAC's Just Like Dad paper pack. Colored the images with Prismacolor pencils and odorless mineral spirits. I used the card layout from the June issue of SheetLoad of Cards .

Another Sheetload card

Here is one of the cards that I made using the February issue of Sheetload of Cards. I really like these when I need to come up with a card idea and need way more than one to be done quickly.

Shout out to SheetLoad

I have recently come across the SheetLoad of Cards blog and I love it!! Here is a preview of their May issue. The ezine gives you great samples and detailed instructions and cutting guides for the greatest number of cards to make from each sketch (also given).

Here is one of the cards I did using this months issue. I plan on finding the back issues and trying those also. It is an excellent way to get some cards done quickly. The colors in my card are subtle and watercolory?? but they really got washed out in the picture. I tried scanning and using my camera and it didn't come out right, but you get the point, right?
